Bear McCreary has announced that he will be at the 7th International Film Music Festival Ciudad de Úbeda in Spain in July. Here is what he says on his blog (there is more, hit the link):
I was nominated for four of the festival’s Goldspirit Awards, including BEST COMPOSER and BEST SCORE. I am truly honored to be awarded BEST TELEVISION SCORE for my work on “Human Target.”
I will take part in the Úbeda festival in a number of exciting programs. On July 21st, I will conduct a chamber orchestra in an intimate recital setting. This up close and personal concert will feature world-premiere arrangements of music from “Caprica,” “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” ‘The Walking Dead” and “Battlestar Galactica.“
Eric Stoltz has posted a bunch of new photos on Twitpic, including a few behind-the-scenes pics from Glee 2x20, "Prom Queen," which airs on Tuesday (May 10, 8 pm, Fox, teaser). You can see the photos here. Let's embed a few:
Sasha Roiz guest stars on Castle on Monday (May 9, 10 pm, ABC), in episode 3x23, "Pretty Dead." Spoiler TV has four new sneak peeks (no Sasha this time).
Leah Gibson has been cast in American Mary, a new horror from the sisters Jen and Sylvia Soska, who will also direct it.
The film follows the story of a medical student, played by Katharine Isabelle, "who is growing increasingly broke and disenchanted with the medical school she attends and the established doctors she once idolized. The allure of easy money sends her into the messy world of underground surgeries, which leaves more marks on her than her so-called freakish clientele."
Leah will play a character named Beatress Johnson. They start filming next month in Vancouver. For more info, visit the Twister Twin Productions blog and Dread Central. For updates, there is the film's FB page.
Born to Race, John Pyper-Ferguson's new film, is going to the Cannes Film Festival. More updates on Facebook.
