If IMDB is anything to go by, Hiro Kanagawa makes an appearance in tonight's episode of Fairly Legal, "Ripple of Hope." He will also be appearing in Robert Redford's upcoming thriller The Company You Keep, as "FBI Agent Kanagawa."
Deadline reported this week that Grimm writers are already working on the show's second season, which might be premiering sooner than expected, in August. Here is the synopsis for tonight's episode:
Nick (David Giuntoli) and Hank (Russell Hornsby) are called to investigate the mysterious death of a wealthy matriarch, after her stepdaughter loses everything in a Ponzi scheme. Meanwhile, Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) does some digging into the mysterious death of Nick’s parents in an effort to help him find closure. Ryan Robbins tweeted a few days ago that he has been cast in Hell on Wheels. He won't say which character he will be playing, but from the audition scenes released in recent weeks, I'm guessing it Hawkins, an ex-confederate soldier and leader of a gang of train robbers. If so, people who enjoy seeing Cullen get his ass kicked will like the season opener quite a bit. The Swede is coming back, too.
The "untitled thriller" with Katie Cassidy that Ryan and Leah Gibson filmed last year now has a title: Kill for Me.
Flicka: Country Pride with Kacey Rohl and Teryl Rothery was released on DVD this week. Catholic.org has an exclusive clip, and there is a new interview with Kacey on Yahoo! Canada. Here is a snippet:
The 20-year-old Vancouver native plays the best friend of a dead teenage girl on AMC's dark series "The Killing," and a young girl whose father has died and forms a strong bond with a horse in the family-friendly "Flicka: Country Pride," which was released on DVD this week. But, as Rohl sees it, while the two might not hang out together, they do have something in common. "They're similar in that they feel really guilty for deaths that aren't really their fault," she tells omg!. And off-screen, they were both a lot of fun for the up-and-coming starlet to make.William B. Davis was interviewed on The Total Education Show. You can listen to it on Blog Talk Radio.
"Flicka: Country Pride," which co-stars Clint Black and his wife Lisa Hartman Black, was especially memorable because it required Rohl to ride a horse for the first time. Her character, Kelly, takes over as the focus of the story that began with the 1941 novel My Friend Flicka, and has included a TV series and several films, always with a young girl (or boy) who loves horseback riding on Flicka at its heart. "I never thought I'd want to do that," Rohl says. "I grew up in a city, and there's not really any sort of connection to farm life in my life or equestrian stuff, but I'm a total daredevil, so when I saw it, I was like, 'Yes, this must happen.'"
