Sunday wrap: previews and new projects for Alessandra Torresani, Magda Apanowicz and Esai Morales

A few more updates to end the week.

Let's start with Alessandra Torresani. The horror she is filming with Morgan Fairchild won't be called Paranormal Initiation, but American Horror House. She tweeted that they start shooting this week in Louisiana (Baton Rouge).

Mama Cylon has another new credit on the IMDb, for a thriller called The Moment, shot late last year. Here is the description from the official FB page:
The film is a smart and sexy thriller about a war photographer (LEE) who returns to Los Angeles to rehabilitate after narrowly escaping death. While in the hospital she meets JOHN and they develop a friendship that turns romantic. And then John goes missing. As Lee begins to investigate what happened, she begins to suspect that she killed him, and as she investigates further, she begins to suspect that her daughter killed him. The journalist in her wants to discover the truth; the mother in her is afraid to.
Jennifer Jason Leigh stars as Lee and Martin Henderson plays John. The film was directed by Jane Weistock.

Magda Apanowicz is reportedly in talks to join Dead Souls, a horror/thriller that starts shooting this month in Connecticut. Here is the synopsis, from Chiller TV:
On his 18th birthday, Johnny Petrie learns he was adopted when he inherits a farm in Maine, abandoned for the 18 years since his natural family died at the hands of his father, the local preacher. Eager for a new life, he leaves home to start over in his new dwelling. However, as he digs into his past, he soon uncovers the horrifying details of his father’s questionable teachings. In a frightening revelation, he also learns that his return has revived decades-old forces trapped in the home and sets in motion a heart-stopping finale to a ritual that already claimed the lives of his family. Dead Souls is adapted from the novel by Bram Stoker Award Finalist Michael Laimo. The film is written by John Doolan and directed by Colin Theys; Andrew Gernhard and Zach O’Brien will produce for Synthetic Cinema International.

Esai Morales has also started shooting a new project this month, Atlas Shrugged: Part 2. He plays Francisco D'Anconia. From the press release:
Based on Ayn Rand’s (Feb. 2 1905 - Mar. 6 1982) 1957 novel, ATLAS SHRUGGED PART II: EITHER OR is set in a near future dystopian United States with a global economy on the brink of collapse and brilliant creators, from artists to industrialists, mysteriously disappearing at the hands of the unknown. Starring in the film are Samantha Mathis as the heroine Dagny Taggart, Jason Baghe as the industrialist Henry “Hank” Rearden, and Esai Morales as the playboy Francisco “Frisco” d’Anconia.

Producer Harmon Kaslow said “We’re thrilled to have such a wonderful group of actors on board. In green-lighting part two, John and I decided to take a fresh look at everything and we couldn’t be happier with the results so far. The new cast are simply fantastic and bring a tremendous amount of experience and enthusiasm to the project.” Filling out the cast are Patrick Fabian as James Taggart, Kim Rhodes as Lillian, Richard T. Jones as Eddie, Paul McCrane as Wesley Mouch, John Rubenstein as Dr. Ferris, Robert Picardo as Dr. Robert Stadler, Ray Wise as Head of State Thompson, Ary Gross as Ken Danager and Rex Linn as Kip Chalmers. A complete cast list is forthcoming on IMDB.
The last season of Eureka premieres tomorrow at 9 pm. Bear McCreary is still scoring, and Erica Cerra (BSG's Maya, Hera's foster mom) is still a regular. Here is a featurette, "A Look Back," with the cast (James Callis among others) also talking about this upcoming season:

Sasha Roiz tweeted yesterday that he is done filming Grimm for the season. Here are the synopsis & teaser for next week's episode, "Cat and Mouse:"
During a murder investigation, Nick (David Giuntoli) and Hank (Russell Hornsby) discover that the suspect's crime streak began overseas; when Nick finds the suspect being harbored by Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner), he must choose between his duties as a detective and his duties as a Grimm. Guest stars include Bree Turner, Sebastian Roche and Neil Hopkins.

And here is what's on TV tonight:

A new episode of the The Killing airs at 10 pm on AMC. There has only been one surprise appearance this season so far -- Teryl Rothery. No idea who will show up in tonight's ep, but two to three people from Caprica and BSG usually do every week.

And Luke Pasqualino guest stars in tonight's episode of The Borgias (10 pm, Showtime), and will briefly show up in next week's one, too. A couple of previews:
